Healings: September - October 2002 Group
A lot of healings took place on my recent trip to Abadiânia in September - October, with a group of 16 people from France, America, Germany and the UK. One French lady with serious cancer came with severe pain, using a wheel chair and only able to walk a little with crutches. During the first few days at the Casa her pain went away and she ceased using the wheelchair. Soon after she gave up one crutch and before she left the Entity took the other crutch and said she no longer needed it. She went home pain free, walking unaided and very happy.

Some of the others in the group were relieved to be told by the Entity that when they returned home, they would not be needing various scheduled medical operations, for skin cancer, problems in the spine, and a damaged knee. Medications were reduced for a number of chronic conditions and some people felt they were getting very strong help on the spiritual plane.

Financial Rescue
In Spring 2001 I invested some money through a friend into a scheme that promised high returns. Some part of me was uneasy about the whole thing, so I asked the Entity about it during my trip to Abadiânia. He told me that the scheme would be OK at first, but not so later on, so I should get my money out, which I did as soon as I could. The Entity was totally right about it, as just recently the whole scheme has been exposed as a very clever and huge international fraud, which took in a lot of people and even many well known and prominent ones. This is just another example of how the Entities seem to have access to knowledge about almost any subject, not just healing matters. I am grateful to the Entities for saving me from all the problems the other people involved in the scheme are now encountering.

Abadiânia Property Sales
Quite a few people, mainly foreigners, have been buying land and renting and buying houses in Abadiânia recently. I know of at least fifteen, without giving it much thought. It has occurred to me that an international community is now developing in Abadiânia around the Casa, and that even when the inevitable day comes when João is no longer with us, this community may remain as an ongoing entity in itself. No one knows if there will be another medium to eventually carry on João's work, which could mean that Abadiânia would revert back to a sleepy little Brazilian town where no one would any longer come for healing. I believe this is an underlying fear held by many people who visit the Casa, but recently have begun to feel that even without João or any other medium, Abadiânia may become a focal point for pilgrimage, with it's crystal energy, good climate and all the unseen entities who will probably still be working there. Healings may continue to happen and for all anyone knows, there may be another medium of João's calibre to fill his shoes. Apart from that, an ongoing international community could grow in it's own way and many interesting and wonderful things could develop out of that. In the meantime lets pray for a long and healthy life for our beloved medium João.

Renovations at Hotel Amazonas
Hotel Amazonas has started work to expand onto the land next door, on the north side, where the cafe and small shop were. They plan to redecorate the whole of the original hotel make some changes to dining and kitchen areas and to build more rooms, including a number of self-catering studios, with verandas, on the newly aquired land. The work is meant to be completed by March 2003. During this time, Betty and Luis will still have some rooms available at the hotel and they are also renting Pousada Dos Anjos for their gusts, until the work is done.

Anniversary/Conference at the Temple of Good Will (LBV), Brasilia
On 20 October 2002 Lynn Debenham and I went to a special anniversary conference at the Temple of Good Will (LBV) in Brasilia. More than 50 coaches had come from all over Brazil bringing people attending the conference to commemorate its founder and celebrate the years of good work carried out by and through this organization for peace . There were five or six days of activities of all sorts, but on the day we were there, medium Francisco da Assisi Periota, a medium from Sao Paolo who is linked to the Temple, was supposed to be there. This medium channels Bezerra Menezes, who is the protector entity of the Temple of Good Will. Unfortunately Francisco was unwell on the day, so was unable to come. This medium materializes medicines and other objects, for people, in his work in Sao Paolo and sometimes at the Temple of Good Will on occasions when he visits there. Lynn and I had previously purchased materialized gemstones, a large quantity of which were manifested by the medium last year at the Temple, by Bezera Menezes. Some of these stones were taken to be analysed in both New York and Sao Paolo, but no one could ascertain what material they were made from. On display in the Pyramid room of the Temple was a heart shaped stone that appeared to be made of amethyst. It was about two inches wide and high, about 3/4 of an inch thick and was displayed in a glass bowl with clear plastic over it. This was manifested in Sao Paolo on July 2002. One other materialized item was shown to us while walking around in the shop area of the Temple by two women from Sao Paolo. This was a gold ring with a large face, covered in many different coloured stones, It wasn't beautiful, but interesting and we were allowed to hold it. It fitted Lynn's ring finger, but they wouldn't let her keep it, even so!

New Arrival
Carlos and Rosane at Pousada Catarinese have a new baby girl, Gesica, born on Friday 22 Oct 2002.
